ABC-TVs “The View” is launching its 27th season today (Sept. 5) and with a new set, lots of fresh topics to tear into, and the network making a bigger commitment to podcasting. “The View” is reviving its Behind the Table podcast series, produced in partnership with ABC Audio, to feature daily episodes that will provide listeners with insider perspectives from those who know the iconic talk show best.
Under its latest iteration, ABC says moderator Whoopi Goldberg with co-hosts Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro will offer daily first-hand reactions to what happened on the show on the Behind the Table podcast. It will also include candid conversations about their lives and go behind the scenes of the long-running show. The hosts will also react to some of the most talked-about interviews, answer viewer questions, and welcome guests, on occasion, for an extended chat.
Brian Teta, who is Executive Producer of “The View” television show, will host Behind the Table. On Monday, ABC released a special pre-launch episode featuring Teta and TV show co-host Farah Griffin reflecting on her first year at the table.
The Behind the Table podcast originally launched in Sept. 2021 but lasted only a few months.
