Jersey Mike’s has emerged as the highest-rated quick-service restaurant brand in the nation, according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index Restaurant and Food Delivery Study 2026, debuting atop the rankings as consumers increasingly reward restaurants that deliver consistent quality and value.
The sandwich chain also includes radio in its multichannel advertising mix. It was a big winner at the 2025 Radio Mercury Awards. Its “Bike Race (Sub Bowls: No Bread)” spot, created by Highdive, won the Use of Humor category and was also named Best of Show, the competition’s top honor. The brand’s radio campaign also won in the campaign category.
The sandwich chain earned an ACSI score of 84, the highest among quick-service restaurants measured in the study. The strong showing comes as the broader restaurant industry navigates slowing sales growth, rising costs and increasingly selective consumer spending.
According to the report, quick-service restaurants maintained an industry score of 79 for the third consecutive year, while full-service restaurants held steady at 82. Food delivery services improved 1% for the second straight year to reach a score of 75.
The study found that restaurant operators are facing a more challenging environment than overall satisfaction scores might suggest. Chain restaurant sales grew 3% in 2025, below the 3.8% rate of menu-price inflation, making it the industry’s slowest growth period outside the pandemic since the Great Recession.
Jersey Mike’s performance stood out in the report. The company was recognized for its freshness, menu variety and value while continuing a rapid expansion strategy. The chain added 238 net new locations during 2025 and reached $4.2 billion in systemwide sales, demonstrating that growth has not come at the expense of customer satisfaction.
Among other quick-service brands, Chick-fil-A remained a strong performer with a score of 83, retaining its leadership position within the chicken category and ranking among the highest-scoring brands across all industries measured by ACSI.
KFC posted a notable improvement, rising 4% to 80. New entrants Raising Cane’s and Wingstop scored 79 and 77, respectively, while Popeyes declined 3% to 73.
In the burger segment, Culver’s and Burger King shared the top position with scores of 78. Sonic posted one of the largest gains in the category, climbing 5% to 77 through an increased emphasis on value-oriented menu offerings.
The study also found that operational execution improved across much of the restaurant industry. Restaurants recorded gains in order accuracy and digital experiences, indicating continued investments in technology and customer service.
Among full-service restaurants, LongHorn Steakhouse and Texas Roadhouse tied for the highest score at 82, despite slight declines from a year earlier. Olive Garden followed closely at 81.
Food delivery services posted modest gains in customer satisfaction this year, according to the report.
Among the major food delivery platforms, Uber Eats increased 1% to an ACSI score of 76. Grubhub rose 3% to 75, marking its second consecutive year of improvement, while DoorDash gained 1% to 74. The report attributed the gains for DoorDash and Grubhub in part to enhancements made to their mobile apps.
The improvement in food delivery satisfaction also coincided with higher customer satisfaction among quick-service restaurant delivery customers. According to the report, the ACSI score for customers using delivery services from quick-service restaurants increased this year.
