iHeartPodcasts Adds Kyle Prue’s ‘Get Worse.’

Will Ferrell’s Big Money Players are adding another social media creator to its comedy podcast roster, bringing viral comedian Kyle Prue to the network for his first podcast. “Get Worse with Kyle Prue” debuts next month. The audio-video series will be distributed by iHeartPodcasts, with video episodes also available on iHeart and YouTube.
Prue built a large online following with his viral “How To Piss Off Men” series, which has generated hundreds of millions of social media views and was later turned into a book. His move into podcasting gives Big Money Players another creator with an established digital audience as the Will Ferrell-founded network continues building its comedy lineup.
“Get Worse” takes the form of a deliberately questionable advice show. Prue will bring in comedians, actors, creators and other guests to answer listener questions, with co-producers Max Michalsky and Aaron Klein periodically joining the show and appearing with Prue in filmed segments.
“I am so excited to be the first person to ever start a podcast,” Prue says. “I can think of no better home for ‘Get Worse’ than Big Money Players and no better proverbial stepfather to my show than Will Ferrell.”
The premiere episode features comedians Hope Carew and Andrew Stier answering listener questions and tackling topics ranging from football and Thanksgiving nudism to blackmailing coworkers. A second episode arriving the same day features actor, writer and comedian Sophia Sherman alongside a guest billed as Count Dracula for a conversation about 400 years of dating and situationships. Other scheduled guests include Kel Cripe, Grant Gibbs and Vinny Thomas.
“We are excited to have Kyle join us on our Big Money Players Network. Whether through his viral content, bestselling writing or now podcasting, Kyle has consistently found creative ways to connect with audiences,” iHeartPodcasts President Will Pearson says. “‘Get Worse’ showcases the comedy that has made him a standout voice online, and we can’t wait for listeners to experience that same energy, spontaneity and laughter on his weekly podcast.”
“Get Worse with Kyle Prue” will release new episodes every Tuesday following its two-episode Oct. 6 debut. All Big Money Players podcasts are executive produced by Ferrell and iHeartMedia and distributed by iHeartPodcasts. The network, founded by Ferrell and iHeartMedia, includes show such as “The Ron Burgundy Podcast,” “Las Culturistas,” “Thanks Dad with Ego Nwodim,” “Hollywood Handbook” and “StraightioLab.”
