Chelsea Clinton Joins Parents Bill And Hillary As An iHeart Podcaster.

After striking deals to distribute podcasts by former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, iHeartMedia is making it a family affair. It has teamed with Chelsea Clinton to produce her new podcast “In Fact.” The company says the series from the former first daughter and public health expert will pull back the curtain on some of the biggest public health challenges of our time.

Each week on the podcast, Clinton — who holds a doctorate in international relations, a master’s in public health, and teaches at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health — will sit down with experts, activists and an assortment of guests who share her passion for science. It will feature conversations with guests including actress Jane Fonda, Mayor of Atlanta Keisha Lance Bottoms, Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser, and actor Dax Shepard, among others. The producers say Clinton will connect the dots between past and present public health crises and highlight stories that demonstrate how public health affects us all from HIV/AIDS to environmental justice to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.

“With more attention than ever being paid to public health, we have an opportunity to expand awareness beyond COVID-19 to other real and pervasive issues that impact us all,” said Clinton in a statement. “On this podcast, I’m looking forward to bringing conversations with some of the smartest and most interesting people I know to a new audience.”

In the podcast’s debut episode, Clinton will sit down with Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness, who has been a vocal advocate for people with HIV/AIDS since publicly sharing his own HIV-positive status in 2019, as well as activist Peter Staley and Dr. Oni Blackstock, an HIV physician and health equity advocate. The group will explore the trajectory of HIV/AIDS from the early days of activism through modern day.

“Chelsea has devoted her career to advancing important discussions around public health, and we’re honored to partner with her on a podcast that will further that important work,” said Conal Byrne, CEO of the iHeartMedia Digital Audio Group. “Her passion for fostering awareness and understanding around these topics makes her a natural arbiter for these conversations. ‘In Fact’ cuts directly through the noise and leaves listeners with the facts.”

The In Fact with Chelsea Clinton podcast is scheduled to debut April 13. The show will join the iHeartPodcast Network — which includes You and Me Both with Hillary Clinton and Why Am I Telling You This? with Bill Clinton.
