What Happens When Will Ferrell Meets Las Culturistas? Something Funny Is A Good Bet.

Actor Will Ferrell is moving beyond creating podcasts with his The Ron Burgundy Podcast. Ferrell teamed with iHeartMedia in 2019 to create the Big Money Players Network to showcase other comedians as well. The latest project is called Clown Parade in which Ferrell is working with Las Culturistas hosts Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang. Each month, Clown Parade will feature four episodes by a different up-and-coming comedic talent.

"As arbiters of taste and culture in today's America, it is an honor to collaborate with William Ferrell to both pass the torch to new, talented comedians who will become household names, and also sort of get Will's name out there because he's talented and deserves a chance to succeed, we think," said Rogers and Yang in a joint statement.

The diverse roster of comedians will be curated by Ferrell, Rogers and Yang with an eye towards representation, inclusivity, and elevating the next generation of comedic voices. The lineup of comedians includes: Greta Titelman (“Los Espookys,” “Search Party”), Martin Urbano (“National Lampoon Radio Hour”), Rekha Shankar (“Between Two Ferns: The Movie”), Chris Burns (Netflix’s “We Have the Receipts” Podcast), Desi Domo (UCB’s “Characters Welcome”), Raphael Chestang (“Adam Ruins Everything”), Milly Tamarez (“The Celebrity Dating Game”), Sarah Smallwood Parsons (UCB’s “Characters Welcome”), Steve Han (“The Big Leap”) and Sudi Green (“SNL,” “Shrill).

On the podcast Ferrell, Rogers and Yang will set up each new comic and their concept, who will then have a four-episode mini-series in the podcast feed as their character. The first mini-series is titled, “Stepmom Presents: The Husband Hunt” -- from actress and comedian, Greta Titelman -- as her character “Stepmom.”

“I’m really thrilled to have had a chance to help promote these innovative comedy voices through the launch of Clown Parade,” said Ferrell. “I can’t thank Matt and Bowen enough for seeing something in me that I didn’t see in myself….that I have inner strength much like a Helen Reddy album. Thank you for this opportunity guys, I will never be able to repay you.”

The first episode of Clown Parade will be available June 29.
