Weekly Spot Count: Pfizer, Vicks Make Biggest Gains.


Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer made the biggest leap on the latest Media Monitors list of top radio advertisers by spot count, jumping from No. 55 to No. 8 with a play count of 25,736.


Procter & Gamble’s Vicks (27,104) also made a big jump, going from No. 24 to No. 7 overall. Vicks was one of 13 P&G products to crack the top 100. Other gainers include Grainger (No. 4 to No. 2), Famous Footwear (No. 9 to No. 6) and McDonald’s (No. 13 to No. 10).


Progressive maintained its familiar position atop the list with 62,009 total plays — a whopping 27,999 ahead of overall No. 2 Grainger.


For the week of Aug. 12-18, 2024, the top 10 radio advertisers by spot count include Progressive, Grainger, ZipRecruiter, T-Mobile, Bank of America, Famous Footwear, Vicks, Pfizer, Babbel and McDonald’s.
