Creditors pursuing former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani are seeking documents from the billionaire owner of WABC Radio, Bloomberg reports.

John Catsimatidis, who earlier this month cancelled Giuliani’s show, is being told by a committee to relinquish communications and documents detailing his relationship with the bankrupt Giuliani, Giuliani’s WABC compensation, and documents about the shows Giuliani hosted.

“The committee’s notice of its intent to serve a subpoena, filed Monday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, comes 10 days after Catsimatidis canceled Giuliani’s radio show because the former Donald Trump adviser repeated false statements about the 2020 election,” Bloomberg’s report says.

The creditors also want information regarding Giuliani’s “termination or suspension” and about statements he made regarding the Georgia poll workers who won a $148 million defamation judgment against him. Giuliani filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection shortly after losing that defamation suit in 2023.

The creditor committee is planning to subpoena more than 20 people associated with Giuliani — including his son — as they try to find more assets to distribute among creditors, Bloomberg reports.

Giuliani was suspended and his weekday afternoon one-hour show was canceled earlier this month after he continued to bring up refuted claims about the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election, in violation of company policy.
