The Last Conclave Sets Final Radio Industry Sessions.

The Last Conclave has released the final schedule for its Sept. 15-17 conference at the Crowne Plaza Aire Hotel in Bloomington, MN. The three-day gathering will bring broadcasters, programmers, talent, managers and industry leaders together for education, networking and a final celebration of nearly 50 years of Conclave history.

The conference opens Wednesday with “Ask Me Almost Anything,” featuring Bob Leighton, Dennis Corbett, Dan Cash, Dave Ryan, Joe Knapp and Harv Blain in a discussion covering ownership, law, digital strategy, programming and talent.

Talent and programming will be prominent throughout the event. Valerie Geller and Brian Wright will lead “The Future of Talent,” while Sean Ross will moderate “The Future of Programming” with Greg Strassell, Jeff McCarthy, Joel Denver and Chad Taylor.

Fred and Paul Jacobs will present “10 Things We Learned Over 50 Years of Radio,” drawing on five decades of research, strategy, technology and audience behavior.

Other sessions include Paige Nienaber’s “Top 25 Radio Promotions of All Time,” and “Social Media Do’s and Don’ts,” featuring Jodi Koontz, Baby Haze and Jenny Luttenberger.

The final Rockwell Awards Luncheon will honor Herb Hoppe, Mark Bolke, Dave “Chachi” Denes, Joe Knapp, Lori Lewis and Dan Seeman for their contributions to radio and The Conclave.

Award-winning DJ, play-by-play announcer, writer and producer Ken Levine will deliver the keynote address. Levine’s television credits include “MASH,” “Cheers” and “Frasier,” in addition to a career spanning radio, sports and comedy.

Syndication will be the focus of another session, with Mason, Tony Lorino, T.J., John Garabedian and Robby Bridges discussing the creative, operational and affiliate considerations involved in building syndicated programming.

A retrospective on Minneapolis’ KDWB will feature Kelly “K3” Doherty, Rich Davis, Angi Taylor, Scotty Davis, Falen and JJ Kincaid in “How KDWB Made Legends: Then, Now, and Next!”

The Last Conclave begins Tuesday, Sept. 15 with registration and a welcome party. Wednesday will conclude with The Last Cocktail Party, while the conference closes Thursday at noon with a farewell luncheon. Registration information can be found HERE.
