The Alliance for Women in Media has announced that “TODAY” co-host Sheinelle Jones will sit down for a fireside chat with Katie Couric at the 2025 Gracies Leadership Awards taking place Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Tribeca 360° in New York City. Couric will receive the Gracies Icon Award at the annual celebration that recognizes women leaders across media and entertainment.

“Sheinelle and Katie are two of the most respected voices in journalism, each using their platforms to inform and inspire,” said Becky Brooks, President of AWM/F. “To have them together on stage promises an authentic, insightful conversation that embodies what the Gracies are all about—celebrating women whose work shapes and advances our industry.”

Jones, an Emmy-winning journalist and longtime member of NBC News, co-hosts the 3rd Hour of “TODAY” and has led projects including “Through Mom’s Eyes” and “Stories We Tell: The Fertility Secret,” which earned a Gracie Award in 2022.

In addition to Couric, this year’s Gracies Leadership Awards luncheon will recognize seven industry leaders: Martha Benyam of Kino Lorber; Rita Ferro of The Walt Disney Company; Connie Orlando of BET Networks; Alissa Pollack of iHeartMedia; Valari Dobson Staab of NBCUniversal Local; Jenna Weiss-Berman of Paper Kite Productions; and Michelle Duke of the NAB Leadership Foundation, who will receive the AWM Legacy Leadership Award.

The event will also celebrate Columbia University student Dayana Matasheva, recipient of the 2025 AWM Foundation/NCTA Student Scholarship. The 2025 Gracies Leadership Awards are presented with support from sponsors including The Walt Disney Company, BET, iHeartMedia, NAB, NBCUniversal, and Premiere Networks.
