iHeartMedia is marking Labor Day with a special starring Rascal Flatts that will air on the company's country stations and stream on iHeartRadio’s YouTube and Facebook pages. The intimate performance will be filmed live at the Opry House in Nashville and will be hosted by Amy Brown, co-host of the Premiere Networks-syndicated “Bobby Bones Show.”
While billed as a Labor Day special, the event will take place on the Wednesday (Sept. 2) before the holiday weekend, with the on-air broadcast beginning at 8pm local time and the video stream starting at 8pm (ET).
The Labor Day tie-in will celebrate the hardworking individuals that labor even on Labor Day, with one teacher awarded a surprise porch makeover, from Lowe's, title sponsor of the broadcast event.
The performance marks one of the first times the trio has performed since the release of their EP, “How They Remember You.” The band has scored 17 No. 1 hits, sold more than 23.4 million albums and earned more than 40 trophies from the ACA, ACM, AMA, CMA and People's Choice, among others.
