PRX Announces 2025 Podcast Creator Summit Events In Austin And Atlanta.

Public media organization PRX is moving forward with its mission to help bring new voices into podcasting with a series of free, multi-day events that will include workshops and learning sessions focused on the craft and art of production. The next Podcast Creator Summits will be held in Austin and Atlanta. Each summit will offer free in-person seminars, talks, workshops and networking opportunities spanning the art, business and production of on-demand audio. Sessions will be led by veteran producers and industry experts.
“We’re proud to work with community-centered organizations in Atlanta and Austin to bring together audio creators to explore, learn and connect,” said Stephanie Kuo, VP of Content at PRX. “We especially hope producers early in their journeys will join us.”
The Podcast Creator Summit in Austin will take place June 16–18 at Apple’s new Austin campus. Co-presenters include public radio station KUT (90.5) and The Drag Audio Production House of Texas Student Media at the University of Texas at Austin.
The summit in Atlanta co-presented with public radio station WABE, Atlanta’s NPR and PBS station, will take place July 30-Aug. 1. The venue will be the community-centered co-working space Plywood Place.
PRX’s 2025 Podcast Creator Summits follow 2024 summits convened by PRX in Washington and Atlanta.
PRX, which has opened Podcast Garage incubators in Boston and San Francisco, held its first Podcast Creator Summit in mid-May in Washington in a partnership with WAMU (88.5). PRX has previously promoted podcast skills-building and community via initiatives including the Google Podcasts creator program for global podcasters, the PRX Journalism Podcast Accelerator, the Ready to Learn podcast accelerator for makers of programming for kids, and in collaboration with the Baraza Media Lab in Nairobi, Kenya.
