Progressive remained radio’s top advertiser in the latest Media Monitors weekly spot count, airing 66,129 spots during the week of July 15-21 — more than 20,000 ahead of home-improvement store Lowe’s, No. 2 on the overall list with 45,904. Babbel. Wendy’s and Grainger rounded out the top five.
Despite Progressive’s dominance, the Insurer Provider category remained an active one. Allstate, No. 14 overall with 26,142 spots, was second in the space, followed by State Farm (14,427), Direct General (8.480), Ethos Technologies (7,497), The Hartford (7,306) and TermProvider (6,616).
No. 9 Target (30,902) was the week’s biggest gainer, catapulting all the way from No. 100. The second biggest gainer, No. 8 Macy’s (30,968), was No. 22 in the previous week.
For the week of July 15-21, 2024, Media Monitors top ten list of radio advertisers includes Progressive, Lowe’s, Babbel, Wendy’s, Grainger, T-Mobile, Total By Verizon, Macy’s, Target and ZipRecruiter.
