Parla, the leading intelligence platform for podcast research and outreach, today announced the launch of its Deep Research Assistant. The new tool is designed to transform how professionals discover, analyze and act on insights from podcasts.
The technology relies on what is said to be the first AI agent capable of researching and understanding millions of hours of audio and video. Parla has indexed over 25 million hours of audio and video so far, with 24,000 hours of content added each day. With access to what may be every active podcast in the world — spanning over 150 million episodes — the Deep Research Assistant navigates the global podcast landscape with unmatched precision. Each query triggers an intelligent synthesis of nearly 10 hours of multimedia content, delivering trustworthy, citation-backed insights in seconds.
New York-based Parla says the tool has been created for brand strategists, public relations teams and other researchers. It allows them to not only find the audio or video clip in the sea of content, but generate detailed reports, prep guests for upcoming appearances, build targeted media lists and draft pitch emails, among other tasks.
“Think of it as a world-class researcher — running dozens of searches, following multiple threads, and distilling the most relevant insights,” Parla founder Jack Joliet says in the announcement. “It’s fast, intuitive, and built to unlock the full potential of podcast-driven growth.” Joliet is a veteran developer and software engineer who previously worked in the online payment, health care and public utility industries. This is his first venture focused on podcasting.
Parla offers a free base service, allowing users 10 deep research queries per month, access
to 10 episode transcripts, and limited statistics for every podcast. For users that need more, its paid Pro version allows for more searches and offers additional features.
