The career-focused social network LinkedIn has created what it is called the LinkedIn Podcast Academy as a way for podcast hosts “to incubate the conversations and the trusted supporters who come out of them” says Head of Original Programming Courtney Chapman Coupe. The six-month pilot project will look to connect emerging business podcasts with exclusive programming, coaching, tools and LinkedIn co-branding to help shows expand their reach.
“This six-month incubator pilot will connect emerging business podcasts with exclusive programming, coaching, tools and LinkedIn co-branding to expand and better reach their audience,” said Coupe in the announcement. “This inaugural group of professional voices cover a wide range of topics in the professional arena: From leadership and entrepreneurship to human resources and technology,” she said.
LinkedIn’s latest podcast initiative follows last year’s launch of the LinkedIn Podcast Network, which showcases established business podcasts. “We are finding that the world’s professionals are turning to podcasts to get the insights and inspiration they need to accelerate in their careers,” Coupe said.
