L.A., Dallas’ ‘Jack FMs’ Top Adult Hits Top 10.

For more than 20 years, adult hits — the format that, based on its taglines, plays what it wants and plays anything and everything — has clearly struck a chord with millions of listeners across the U.S.
Featuring an unusually wide range of music — often spanning as many as six decades — along with a between-songs sarcastic and self-deprecating sense of humor, the format leans in various genre-based directions, depending on the market. As different as it may sound from station to station, adult hits saw respectable share lifts during Q3 2026 among adults 18-34 and 18-49.
Topping Inside Radio’s TOP 10 adult hits stations, based on weekly cume delivery of persons 6+ during Nielsen’s Q3 2026 wave (July-to-September three-month average), is Audacy’s “93.1 Jack FM” KCBS-FM Los Angeles, with a 1.6 million cume. The 80s-90s rock-leaning station is one of four Audacy and four “Jack FM” stations — all of which feature drop-ins and quips from voice actor Howard Cogan — in adult hits’ top 10.
Ranking second is Audacy’s “100.3 Jack FM” KJKK Dallas, which has been in the format since 2004, making it the longest-running adult hits outlet in the top 10. Since 2012, KJKK has featured longtime DFW air personality JT Springer in mornings.
Hubbard’s “Throwback 100.3” WTBC-FM Chicago, which since 2024 has focused on 90s/2000s hits and was a 2025 NBA Marconi Award finalist, comes in third. Beasley Media Group’s “95.7 Ben FM” WBEN-FM Philadelphia, where 21-year Philly radio veteran Kristen Herrmann handles AM drive, places fourth, followed by Audacy’s “104.1 Jack FM” KZJK Minneapolis, where Remy Maxwell has hosted afternoons for a decade.

Ranked sixth and seventh are “95.5 The Mountain” KYOT Phoenix, one of iHeartMedia’s three stations in the top 10, and Audacy’s “Big 103” WBGB Boston. While the former boasts, “We play everything in Phoenix,” the latter uses recording artists to describe its music variety, with “Eagles to Eminem,” “Pink to Pink Floyd” and “Metallica to Madonna.”
iHeartMedia’s “we play anything” station in Charlotte, NC, “102.9 The Lake” WLKO, and its station “playing what we want in Seattle,” “96.5 Jack FM” KJAQ, place eighth and ninth. Coming in 10th is Hubbard’s second station in the top 10, “106.5 The Arch” WARH St. Louis, where “you never know what you’ll hear next!” – with the possible exception of 35-year St. Louis radio veteran Courtney Landrum, who hosts mornings.
