Katie Couric Media has relaunched the Next Question with Katie Couric podcast with iHeartPodcasts. The new twist in the series is that in addition to Couric’s signature in-depth one-on-one interviews, in the new season she will be joined by a number of special guest hosts for a series of “Katie Plus One” episodes. Together they’ll get to know some of the world’s most interesting and influential people.
The first Katie Plus One episode features Couric and Kelly Rizzo, the host of the forthcoming Comfort Food podcast and the widow of Bob Saget, as they jointly interview actor John Stamos, Saget’s Full House co-star and longtime friend of Bob and Kelly. They get the full story on early "Full House" drama and the life-changing experience that brought that cast together. Future Katie Plus One episodes include Katie and tech journalist Kara Swisher’s interview with Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom for a deep dive on the past, present, and future of social media. Couric will also team with author Kelly Corrigan for a conversation with New York Times columnist David Brooks about the growing social disconnect in our culture and how we can bring people closer together.
New episodes of Next Question will be released Thursdays.
Couric launched the Next Question podcast in 2016, and she has been working with iHeartPodcasts since 2019. In 2017, she founded Katie Couric Media, which has developed a number of media projects, including a daily newsletter, “Wake-Up Call,” the Next Question podcast, digital video series and several documentaries.
