John Tesh’s Syndicated Radio Success Earns NAB Hall Of Fame Induction.

Radio’s long tradition of personality-driven programming took center stage at the 2026 NAB Show as National Association of Broadcasters inducted John Tesh into its Hall of Fame, recognizing a career defined by reinvention and sustained audience connection.

Tesh was honored April 21 during the NAB Hall of Fame Awards Dinner in Las Vegas, alongside television honoree Rob Lowe. The annual recognition celebrates individuals whose work has left a lasting imprint on broadcasting through innovation, influence, and longevity.

For radio, Tesh’s induction underscores the continued relevance of syndicated spoken-word programming built around lifestyle content and listener engagement. Since launching “Intelligence for Your Life” in 1999 with wife Connie Sellecca and son Gib Gerard, Tesh has built one of the medium’s most widely distributed franchises.

The five-hour daily show blends advice, personal development, and music, and now airs on more than 350 stations across multiple formats, reaching an estimated 7.6 million weekly listeners. Its expansion into related programming, including a health-focused spinoff, reflects radio’s ongoing push into service-driven content.

“John Tesh’s work reflects a unique blend of creativity, risk-taking and reinvention across broadcasting,” said NAB President and CEO Curtis LeGeyt. “From shaping iconic television moments to building one of the most successful syndicated radio programs in the country, his work has consistently pushed boundaries.”

Before his radio success, Tesh built a multi-platform career that included a stint as a correspondent for CBS News and a decade as co-host of Entertainment Tonight. He also achieved significant success in music, including composing “Roundball Rock,” widely associated with NBA on NBC.

The NAB also honored Lowe for his contributions to television. With a career spanning more than 40 years, Lowe has remained a consistent presence across scripted and unscripted programming, from “The West Wing” and “Parks and Recreation” to his more recent role in “9-1-1: Lone Star.”

Lowe also currently hosts “The Floor” and continues to expand his reach through podcasting with “Literally! With Rob Lowe,” reflecting the same cross-platform evolution seen across the industry.
