How Will Tech Unveiled At CES Impact Radio?

Will your next morning show be a robot? Will your next station van fly? Will your next car have a radio? These are among the questions being asked following last week’s CES 2012 in Las Vegas, which pulled back the curtain on technologies, innovations and trends expected to have major ramifications for the radio industry. A free webinar Wednesday, Jan. 19 from Jacobs Media, in partnership with Inside Radio, will unpack the most important takeaways from the show.

“Analyzing CES 2022: The Impact of Technology & Innovation on Broadcast Radio,” takes place Wednesday, Jan. 19 at 2pm EST/11am PST. Register HERE.

While there were fewer attendees and more space at this year’s hybrid show, that translated into a richer tech experience – and a view of the future. The webinar will help you learn what it means to radio in 2022 – and beyond.

“We love bringing the radio industry closer to the technology and trends on display at CES,” says Jacobs Media President Fred Jacobs, who will lead Wednesday’s webinar. “Because of the pandemic, fewer people from the radio industry were able to travel to Las Vegas last week, so we’re excited to bring the innovation, trends, gadgetry, and energy to our friends and colleagues.”

Numerous exhibitors cancelled their in-person plans for the tech extravaganza, and attendance was 75% below normal levels. But that didn’t stop technology companies from laser-focusing on innovation, which was on display at the newly minted West Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

During this webinar, you’ll learn the impact tech will have on radio in the new year, including:

  • Automotive – autonomous, electrification, dashboards

  • Robotics

  • Artificial Intelligence

  • Voice

  • Tech trends & marketing
