Imagine Impact, the content accelerator and online marketplace, has made the leap into podcasting with the launch of Impact: The Podcast. The new podcast brings together storytellers and entertainment industry leaders to share their insights and stories that explore the larger themes of content creation and how artists’ perspectives and philosophies shape the world around us. They have teamed with Art19 to host and monetize the show.

Imagine Impact was co-founded by Hollywood power players Brian Grazer and Ron Howard, and the company’s first podcast is a growth of its speaker series. The podcast is hosted by Gretchen Lynch, with guest interviews by Impact founders Grazer, Howard and veteran producer-writer Tyler Mitchell, who also serves as CEO of the company.

“The insights and knowledge that our guests have shared with us over the past two years have been invaluable,” Mitchell said. “It’s not often that you get to hear world-class artists like Ryan Murphy, Jason Bateman and Issa Rae talk openly about their craft and candidly about how to navigate and succeed in the entertainment industry. Since knowledge is power, we felt the need to share these inspiring and ‘edu-taining’ conversations with the world.”

The first episode of “Impact: The Podcast” features conversations with Peter Berg, Issa Rae and Judd Apatow, who discuss the importance of “truth in storytelling.” Future episodes feature Frances McDormand, Damien Chazelle, The RZA, Dave Burd aka Lil Dicky, Jeff Schaffer, Saladin Patterson and Akiva Goldsman. New episodes will be released each Wednesday.

“It’s always exciting to find a team that cares so much about innovation and storytelling, two of our own company’s passions,” Art19 Chief Revenue Officer Lex Friedman said in the announcement. “Art19 handles the technical side of distribution, so that the Imagine Impact team can focus on doing what it does best — creating incredible content.”
