A total of five wireless carriers aired tens of thousands of spots during the week of Aug 15-21. Leading the category is Cricket Wireless at No. 13, followed by T-Mobile at No. 31, Boost Mobile at No. 38, Straight Talk at No. 43, and Verizon Wireless at No. 56.
Close behind with four slots is the insurance category, which is devoting considerably more weight to its radio campaigns. In the lead is Progressive at No. 1 with 64,089 spot placements, followed by Allstate at No. 19, State Farm at No. 20, and GEICO at No. 46.
Three accounts in the Home Centers and Hardware category are among the week’s top 100, led by Lowe’s at No. 59, Menard’s at No. 57, and Northern Tool & Equipment, a relative newcomer at No. 68. MIA from the category this week is The Home Depot.
Big pharma continues to use broadcast radio to market its products with Pfizer’s Ibrance at No. 24, Pfizer’s Paxlovid at No. 51 and AbbVie Inc-Ironwood Pharmaceuticals’ Linzess at No. 94. Meanwhile, BioNTech-Pfizer’s COVID vaccine spots continue their run, ranked at No. 28.
For the week of Aug 15-21, 2022, the top ten on the Media Monitors tally are Progressive at 1, Indeed at 2, iHeartRadio Music Festival at 3, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at 4, ZipRecruiter at 5, iHeartRadio at 6, Upside at 7, Babbel at 8, DuckDuck Go at 9 and Grainger at 10.
