Hello Sunshine Expands Audio Lineup With New ‘Reese’s Book Club’ Podcast.

Hello Sunshine, the Reese Witherspoon-created content company, is expanding its audio focus with a new podcast that will tie-in to her Reese’s Book Club vertical. The podcast Bookmarked by Reese’s Book Club will be hosted by journalist and TV host Danielle Robay, who previously hosted Hello Sunshine’s The Bright Side podcast until this spring.

“At Reese’s Book Club, we’re always looking for new ways to bring our stories — and our community — to life. With the launch of Bookmarked by Reese’s Book Club, we’re inviting our audience to be part of the conversation around the books they love, the authors who write them, and the culture that shapes them,” said Maureen Polo, Head of Direct-to-Consumer at Hello Sunshine. “Bookmarked by Reese’s Book Club marks a strategic evolution of the Reese’s Book Club brand and solidifies the expansion of the Hello Sunshine audio portfolio.”

The weekly series will bring together celebrities, tastemakers, influencers and authors from Reese’s Book Club and beyond to share stories that transcend the page.

Produced in a partnership with iHeartPodcasts, the creators say the podcast is the perfect blend of insightful book chatter and buzzy book talk, taking the modern book lover behind the scenes of their favorite stories, characters and authors. Each episode, listeners will walk away with a fresh book recommendation to dive into and share with others. The podcast also features a listener-submitted question-and-answer segment with submissions taken through a dedicated hotline, giving audiences the chance to engage and participate in the conversation.

“We are thrilled to launch our newest podcast with Hello Sunshine to bring book lovers this exciting new series. Their deep connection with readers, storytelling and commitment to championing female authors make them the ideal partner for this podcast,” said Will Pearson, President of iHeartPodcasts. “With ‘Bookmarked by Reese’s Book Club,’ we are excited to amplify insightful conversations that connect listeners with the authors they admire and fellow readers everywhere.”

The first episode of Bookmarked by Reese’s Book Club will be available on June 24 featuring bestselling authors Emily Henry and Yulin Kuang. New episodes will post every Tuesday.

Hello Sunshine is part of Candle Media. It previously worked with iHeart on the companion podcast for the “Little Fires Everywhere” TV series on Hulu. And when Witherspoon announced in March 2024 that she was partnering with iHeartPodcasts to bring Hello Sunshine deeper into the audio space, the company said it had been tracking the explosion of the medium and saw podcasts as a way to reach new audiences.
