Eastlan Ratings has added radio industry veterans Jay Kelly and Tommy Ehrman to its client training and support team as the company prepares for continued market expansion into 2027.

Kelly joins Eastlan as a broadcast and digital consultant with decades of media experience. He spent years as a major-market radio drive-time personality and program director in Seattle, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City and Kansas City.

He’ll focus on helping radio sales teams develop strategies for selling digital services and competing in an increasingly cross-media advertising environment.

Ehrman brings experience in small- and medium-market radio, including an 18-year tenure with Citadel focused on sales and sales management. He’s recognized for his expertise in developing high-performing radio advertising schedules.

Eastlan President Mike Gould said the hires reflect the company’s commitment to providing clients with direct, responsive support.

“Life is too short for a phone tree to nowhere or time-sucking chatbots. When our clients need assistance, they need it now,” Eastlan President Mike Gould says in a news release. “We are resolute in our commitment to provide our clients the support they deserve: Real humans who listen and respond quickly. I simply don’t understand why other ratings vendors devalue their clients by forcing them to endure inconsistent offshore support or frustrating automated chats that can’t understand basic needs.”

Eastlan said it plans to announce additional staff hires and several new markets in the coming weeks.
