Comedienne Nikki Glaser joins Will Ferrell’s Big Money Players Network, the podcast company that debuted in 2019 through a partnership with iHeartMedia. Glaser will host The Nikki Glaser Podcast, described as a daytime talk show-style program with late-night grit. The podcast will debut Monday, March 22 with new episodes posted Monday through Thursday.
Glaser will be joined by stand-up comic Andrew Collin, as the duo discuss the latest in pop culture, news, entertainment and life—delving into discussions about dating, sex, relationships, mental health and motivational advice. The podcast will feature various segments including “Between You and Me,” “You Heard it Here First,” “Mental Health Moment,” “Is It Textual? (Or Sexual…).” A special guest will appear on the podcast each week.
“It's cool as hell that The Nikki Glaser Podcast is a part of Will Ferrell’s and iHeartMedia’s Big Money Players Network because Will Ferrell is one of the funniest people alive, and so it makes me feel like I finally got invited to the cool kids table in the lunchroom in middle school, except this time to stay there I won't have to smoke cigarettes and beg my mom to buy me dELiA*s clothes that our family can't afford,” Glaser said in a release. “It was important for me to do a daily show because I want to engage with listeners and give them something to look forward to as often as possible. As a podcast listener, frequency is something I crave, as well as silliness, real friendships, honest conversations and a fast-paced format.”
The stand-up comic previously hosted a podcast with fellow comedienne Sara Schaefer, You Had To Be There and We Know Nothing with comedian Phil Hanely and musician Anya Marina. She earlier hosted a radio program on SiriusXM and a morning program for Comedy Central, “You Up? With Nikki Glaser,” which evolved into a podcast after the TV show’s cancellation. Glaser also hosted a weekly TV program on MTV and appeared on a number of shows on the network. She has also hosted a number of celebrity roasts for Comedy Central and appeared on season 27 of “Dancing with the Stars.”
“We are thrilled to have the wildly talented Nikki Glaser join us at the Big Money Players Network,” Ferrell added. “But in order to do so, she will have to smoke cigarettes and purchase her wardrobe from dELiA*s Spring collection.”
Big Money Players Network launched in October 2019 and is home to top comedic talent across a variety of formats and styles – both scripted and unscripted. Other podcasts that call the BMP home include Las Culturistas with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang, My Momma Told Me with Langston Kerman, POOG with Kate Berlant and Jacqueline Novak, Bald Talk, True Romance with Carolina Barlow and Devin Leary and the forthcoming Michael Bolton’s Big Sexy Podcast.
