Clay Travis Turns Fan-Favorite Radio Segment Into Weekly Podcast.

Talk radio host Clay Travis is expanding a popular feature that was part of his former Fox Sports Radio program “Outkick the Coverage” into a full-fledged weekly podcast. The new series “Animal Thunderdome” features Travis and co-host “Danny G” Garite as they share viral wildlife stories and hard-to-believe stories of attacks and bizarre escapes, unexpected heroes and the strange moments only nature can create.

“America has demanded that the ongoing battle between humans and animals not be ignored,” Travis says in the announcement. “Danny G and I are excited to reunite and share these unbelievable stories with listeners every week. We are here to save the humans!”

The new series is produced by Premiere Networks and distributed by iHeartPodcasts. Each episode mixes outrageous true stories with Travis’ reactions, Danny G’s latest discoveries, spirited debate and occasional expert insight to help explain what really happened.

“Clay and I had a blast with Animal Thunderdome on Fox Sports Radio, and I’m excited to take the madness to a whole new level with Premiere!” says Garite. “There’s never a shortage of unbelievable man-versus-animal stories.”

The project is the latest venture for Travis, who in August launched Sport & State, a new national digital media platform built around live sports programming, personality-driven content and a mix of sports, pop culture and sports-adjacent politics. The move followed the end of his five-year tenure with OutKick, which he created and then sold to Fox in 2021.

Travis co-hosts Premiere’s syndicated talk program “The Clay & Buck Show” on radio, where it clears on more than 550 stations nationwide. He is also a regular contributor to Fox News and is a featured analyst on “Big Noon Kickoff” for Fox Sports during college football season. Travis also hosts “Outkick The Show,” a daily, multi-platform program where Travis delivers his unfiltered takes on the most talked-about headlines in sports, culture, and politics.

Garite is the producer of Fox Sports Radio’s weekday afternoon program, “Covino & Rich.” A veteran sports radio personality and producer, he previously produced “Outkick the Coverage with Clay Travis” on Fox Sports Radio and served as producer and co-host of “The Fifth Hour with Ben Maller” podcast.
