iHeartMedia has tapped veteran media executive Chris Long to lead its Dallas operations as Region President, effective immediately. Long will oversee strategy and growth for one of the company’s most competitive markets, reporting to Eddie Martiny, Division President for iHeartMedia’s Texas Region.
In his new role, Long will work to expand advertiser opportunities across iHeartMedia’s broad portfolio, including broadcast radio, digital platforms, social channels and live events. He is tasked with driving revenue by leveraging the company’s massive audience reach and trusted local brands, while strengthening the influence of its iconic personalities and shows.
“I am excited to have Chris lead our talented Dallas team,” Martiny said in a release. “Over the past 20 years, I’ve seen him inspire and drive growth across some of the most well-respected companies in our industry. His diverse background and leadership make him the perfect person to lead the Dallas market to the next level.”
Long brings more than two decades of experience in audio and digital media sales leadership. He most recently served as Chief Revenue Officer at Gemini XIII, a podcast production and syndication company. Previously, he held senior sales roles at SiriusXM and Pandora, and earlier in his career was Director of Sales for Clear Channel Radio, the predecessor to iHeartMedia. A graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, Long has built a reputation for driving growth through innovative revenue strategies and strong advertiser relationships.
“To succeed in our highly competitive industry, you need two things: great people and premium content,” Long remarked. “iHeartMedia offers an amazing opportunity with both, and I am excited to start working and winning with the Dallas iHeart team.”
