Change At The Top At MediaCo As Albert Rodriguez Is Named Interim CEO.

Albert Rodriguez, who joined MediaCo in September as Chief Revenue Officer of the company, and President of MediaCo Audio, has been named Interim CEO.

The appointment follows the departure of Interim CEO Jacqueline Hernández and COO Brian Kei, which was announced in an SEC filing Wednesday afternoon.

Hernández and Kei assumed their interim roles in April, following MediaCo’s purchase of Estrella Media’s network, content, digital, and commercial operations from Estrella Broadcasting. She will remain on the company’s Board of Directors. Kei inked a new employment agreement with the company in September, which was announced at the same time as the arrival of Rodriguez. He previously served as COO/CFO of Estrella Media and was earlier VP of Finance & Strategy at ABC.

Rodriguez spent 24 years at Spanish Broadcasting System from 1999 until abruptly resigning last December 2023 during the company’s third-quarter earnings call. 

The company has been without a fulltime CEO since CEO Rahsan-Rahsan Lindsay quietly resigned from his post at the end of October.
