Bob Morgan New Area President Of Expanded iHeartMedia Upstate New York.

iHeartMedia has named Bob Morgan Area President of its newly created Upstate New York region, encompassing iHeart’s nearly 40 stations serving the Albany, Binghamton, Poughkeepsie, Rochester, Syracuse, and Sussex, NJ markets.

Morgan, who since 2019 has been in charge of operations in Binghamton, Rochester and Syracuse as iHeartMedia’s West New York President, will now oversee all aspects of operations across multiple platforms — including broadcast, digital, mobile, social and live events — for the expanded Upstate New York area, reporting to iHeartMedia Division President Dan Lankford.

Morgan has been with iHeart since 2012, when he joined as Market President for Rochester, following 13 years as Senior VP of Broadcast for American Tower Corporation, and five years as head of CBS Radio Rochester.

Among the stations in iHeart’s expanded region are news/talk “NewsRadio” WHAM (1180) Rochester, adult contemporary “Mix 103.3” WMXW Binghamton, country “B104.7” WBBS Syracuse, classic rock WPYX (106.5) Albany, and CHR “96.1 Kiss FM” WPKF Poughkeepsie.

“Bob has done an excellent job leading the West New York area for iHeartMedia the last five years,” Lankford says. “I’m excited to partner with Bob to integrate three additional markets into his area of oversight.”

Morgan adds, “I am excited for the opportunity to be working with the talented teams in Albany, Poughkeepsie and Sussex. Our market-leading iconic brands have a long history of serving their communities, listeners and clients, and I look forward to helping build upon that success.”
