CultureCon, an ideas conference from The Creative Collective NYC, is getting creative in promoting its upcoming event. Its CultureCon Studios is teaming up with Spotify to launch a new original limited-run series that will drop new episodes leading up to the October conference.
“Our newest content arm, CultureCon Studios, is on a mission to amplify Black and Brown creatives’ stories and impact,” said Shareese Bembury-Coakley, Vice President of Partnerships and Business Development at CultureCon. “We’re so excited to partner with Spotify to introduce the first of many exciting audio projects.”
The podcast is titled CultureCon Uncut, and it is hosted by Imani Ellis, founder and CEO of CultureCon and The Creative Collective. On the show, she will interview Black culture-shifters who have forged their own paths, often against the odds. It will feature influential leaders, artists and activists, unpacking their stories to inspire the next generation to relentlessly pursue their greatest ambitions. Guests include Journalist and birth FUND Founder Elaine Welteroth, Actor and Author Jay Ellis, Beauty and Wellness Creative Director Sir John, Uncle Nearest CEO and Founder Fawn Weaver, and more.
“We’re so excited to collaborate with Spotify to amplify journeys of some incredible visionaries,” said Ellis. “The vulnerability and rawness of each episode is sure to inspire the next generation of world-changing creatives.”
CultureCon Uncut debuts today (Aug. 29) with new episodes dropping in both audio and video formats each week on the road to CultureCon. The conference takes place in Brooklyn, NY on Oct. 5-6.
