The Fantasy Footballers – a series that is up for the Best Sports Podcast prize at this weekend’s iHeartRadio Podcast Awards – have just scored on their own. They have struck a deal to join Audioboom’s premium network. Audioboom will provide exclusive advertising sales and marketing support to the podcast until 2022, following the successful partnership launch during the 2020 NFL season.
The sports may be fantasy but the downloads are real. Audioboom says The Fantasy Footballers show has been downloaded more than 200 million times since it launched in 2014. That included more than 50 million downloads last year.
“We’re thrilled to team up with Audioboom,” said co-host Jason Moore. “They offer us the flexibility to continue producing The Fantasy Footballers in the way fans have come to love and expect.” In addition to Moore, the podcast is co-hosted by Andy Holloway and Mike “The Fantasy Hitman” Wright. Unlike many sports podcasts, the longtime friends are able to record content year-round and break down the world of fantasy football with a mix of analysis, opinion, and matchup-winning advice.
“The Fantasy Footballers are veterans in podcasting with a massively loyal following and we’re thrilled they’ve chosen to partner with Audioboom,” said Audioboom EVP of Content & Production Brendan Regan. “We look forward to fortifying this relationship by helping the great team behind Fantasy Footballers capitalize on the many dynamic opportunities to come.”
The Fantasy Footballers podcast is represented by Amplify Management and WME.
