Audio Horror Partnership Between iHeart And Blumhouse TV Delivers Another Series.

Blumhouse Television, the horror content creator with more than 200 movies and television series under its belt, continues to grow its audio portfolio. Blumhouse is teaming with iHeartPodcasts and Realm on a new horror series called Dream Sequence that will join an ongoing slate of co-produced podcasts.

“Our slate of scripted shows with Blumhouse TV has captivated listeners and we’re excited to continue this journey with the introduction of Dream Sequence,” said Will Pearson, President of iHeartPodcasts. “The new series will explore the realm of dreams and offer a chilling exploration of the darkest corners of the mind.”

The new show is part of the larger strategic partnership between iHeartMedia and Blumhouse Television announced in October 2019. Under the deal, the two companies are collaborating to develop and produce scripted podcasts across the horror genre, ranging from suspenseful thrillers and murder mysteries to science fiction audio-plays. Previous collaborations include 13 Days of HalloweenThe Mantawauk Caves, and Mordeo.

Dream Sequence will tell the story of two sisters and the nightmare that brings them back together. Kay Craft hasn’t spoken to her sister Sadie since the tragedy that tore them apart seven years ago. But now Sadie’s resurfaced with her new invention, a machine that can record nightmares, and a new theory – that something’s alive within them.

“It has been a joy to extend our track record of producing high-quality and immersive content for partners while also contributing to Blumhouse's run of horror hits with iHeartMedia,” said Realm CEO Molly Barton. “We’re excited to join them in introducing the world to Andrew’s visionary, horrifying new take on the dream dimension.”

Dream Sequence will debut Aug. 5. New episodes will be available every Monday. The series was created by Andrew Robinson. Executive producing for Realm are Molly Barton, John Brooks, Marci Wiseman, and Dave Beazley; Alex Williams and Trevor Young for iHeartPodcasts; Chris Dickie and Noah Feinberg for Blumhouse Television.
