Taco Bell has teamed up with Milk Bar — the iconic New York City bakery by Christina Tosi — to create special limited-edition strawberry cake “Bell” truffles that will be available for two weeks in August at select Milk Bar and Taco Bell locations in New York City and Los Angeles. Milk Bar is known for its bite-sized decadent truffles, particularly the birthday cake flavor... Chuy’s expects to continue offering a pared-down menu of 44 to 45 items, which it reduced during the pandemic, and start adding in higher-priced barbell items as limited-time specials. The Austin, Texas-based Tex-Mex casual-dining concept noted that consumers and restaurants are both dealing with inflation, so value remains a large focus of the menu.


Macy’s is hoping to break through the back-to-school clutter with a new campaign that aims to highlight kids’ fast-changing style sense. Ads showcase bright combinations of trendy fashion finds and essentials, all aimed at helping them own their style. The campaign is from Major Behavior, a boutique agency in Chicago, and includes TV, digital and print... A Discount Tire store is testing an artificial intelligence-based tire changing solution. The leading retailer of tires and wheels is operating a RoboTire tire changing system at a store in Fountain Hills, Ariz. Systems from Michigan-based RoboTire use machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), high-definition cameras, proprietary software, and advanced robotics to change four tires on a passenger vehicle in less than 25 minutes... The Body Shop is expanding on a pilot with a well-known online delivery platform. The global beauty brand is partnering with Uber to include almost all of its retail stores across the U.S. on the Uber Eats delivery platform. This expansion brings new locations to the Uber service and allows consumers in new cities in states including Illinois, Nevada, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Alaska, and Hawaii to shop for The Body Shop products through Uber Eats.


CVS may be about to take another deep dive into health care. The drug store and health insurance giant is planning to make a bid to buy health-care platform Signify Health in a move to expand into home-health services. The news was first reported by the Wall Street Journal. CVS has been expanding its medical offerings and the company said last week that it would either purchase or take a stake in a primary-care company by the end the of the year... 7-Eleven has acquired Skipcart, a startup that has developed a major network of drivers for the last-mile delivery of restaurant food, grocery, convenience-store and other goods in the U.S., according to a report by The Information. Founded in 2018 in San Antonio, Skipcart is a delivery platform providing same-day and on-demand delivery for a variety of industries including e-commerce, pharmaceutical, retail, food and beverage and more, including convenience-store merchandise.
