YouTube star Colleen Ballinger, best known for her character Miranda Sings, is making the move to podcasting. She is teaming up with her husband, actor Erik Stocklin, to create a new Audioboom Originals series. The show is called Relax! and it will feature the couple discussing “anything, everything and sometimes nothing at all about their unique world” per an Audioboom announcement.
“Colleen is a natural entertainer and her dedication to her craft will translate well into podcasting,’ said Audioboom EVP Content & Production Brendan Regan. “The Audioboom Originals Network continues to bring creative and influential talent into podcasting, and we can’t wait to see the success of the show.”
Ballinger comes armed with a promotional bullhorn. She has amassed over 50 million followers across all her social media platforms. Along with being a social media mogul, Ballinger is also a best-selling author and tours the world with her one woman show.
The couple wed in 2018 and are parents to a two-year-old son. As public a figure as each is, their relationship has remained relatively private. Audioboom says each episode will offer listeners a peek into Ballinger and Stocklin’s unconventional relationship as they have open and honest discussions that often lead to discoveries and revelations as they navigate these unprecedented times.
Relax! will debut January 13.
