WKTU, New York Locks In Sean ‘Hollywood’ Hamilton With New 3-Year Deal.

Veteran New York on-air personality Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton inks a new three-year contract with iHeartMedia rhythmic CHR WKTU New York (103.5). Hamilton has been with WKTU since the station was re-launched in 1996. He was also part of the original “Z100” WHTZ New York lineup and has worked at KIIS Los Angeles (102.7). The 2019 inductee into the Radio Hall of Fame will continue hosting afternoons at WKTU, where he recently reprised the “War of the Roses” feature, which can be heard in the 5pm hour.

“Hollywood Hamilton’s longstanding love of radio, and his deep connection to his listeners and his community, comes through in his work every single day, and we are thrilled to continue our relationship with him,” Bob Pittman, iHeartMedia Chairman/CEO said in a release. “He is one of the most loved and respected people in the industry, and it’s hard to imagine true New York City radio without Hollywood’s voice.”

Tom Poleman, President, and Chief Programming Officer added, “Hollywood Hamilton is a New York radio icon and synonymous with KTU. We’re very happy that he’ll be with us for many years to come.”

In addition to his New York radio pedigree, Hamilton was heard nationally for more than 30 years as host of the Premiere Networks-syndicated programs “Hollywood Hamilton’s The Weekend Top30” and “The Remix Top30 with Hollywood Hamilton.” He ended the programs, along with “The Weekend Top30 with DJ Pup Dawg,” in 2021.

“Hollywood is a special talent whose drive and vision propels him to the top of the ratings time and time again,” Thea Mitchem, Executive VP of Programming remarked. “I’m thrilled he is extending his relationship with KTU and excited about the future, and what he will create.”

“Much love to Executive Vice President of Programming at iHeartMedia, Thea Mitchem, for putting this together and dealing with my crybaby moments, love you,” Hamilton commented.
