Wireless Wars: T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless Surge In Weekly Spot Count.

Fierce competition in the wireless space found two big names zooming up the list and into the weekly top 10 in the Media Monitors spot count for the week of May 13-19, 2024.

T-Mobile aired 45,722 spots, enough to propel a jump all the way to No. 3 overall after lingering at No. 98 the week before. And competitor Verizon Wireless also made an aggressive leap: It aired 33,634 spots, in the process rising to No. 6 from No. 42 the week before.

Another big gainer for the week was the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), which launched its annual “Click It or Ticket” seat belt enforcement campaign ahead of the Memorial Day weekend. It aired 28,888 spots, jumping all the way to No. 10 from No. 48 a week earlier.

Another big gainer was Lowe’s. It moved from No. 21 to No. 4 with 38,668 spots, which still left it well short of overall No. 1 The Home Depot, which aired a whopping 61,976 spots.

For the week of May 13-19, 2024, the top ten on the Media Monitors radio advertiser list includes The Home Depot, Progressive, T-Mobile, Lowe’s, Mattress Firm, Verizon Wireless, Discover, ZipRecruiter, Febreze and the NHTSA.
