Westwood One NCAA Tourney Broadcasts Return To TuneIn Platform.

Westwood One’s coverage of the NCAA Division I Men’s basketball tournament will be carried on TuneIn, SiriusXM satellite radio, and more than 500 broadcast stations across the country.

Westwood One streaming broadcasts of its NCAA Tournament coverage were previously available via Turner’s March Madness app. The broadcasts have traditionally been carried by SiriusXM in addition to Westwood One-affiliate stations.

Coverage will tip off at 6:30pm (ET) before the First Four on Tuesday, March 19, and continue with play-by-play action from every game through the National Championship on Monday, April 8.

Additionally, Westwood One will broadcast live Spanish-language coverage of the NCAA Men’s Final Four on Saturday, April 6, and the National Championship Game on Monday, April 8.

TuneIn will also have coverage of the women’s tournament starting with the Sweet 16 on March 29 through to the championship game on April 7.

“TuneIn is doubling down on our promise to deliver best-in-class sports coverage of fan-favorite events like March Madness with top sports partners like Westwood One,” Chief Content Officer Kevin Straley said in a release. “Our continued partnership with Westwood One gives our listeners access to non-stop play-by-play coverage of NCAA Division I basketball tournaments to catch all the excitement in one place, wherever they are.”

Earlier this year, Westwood One had Nielsen conduct a special PPM "panel unification," analysis which revealed WWO’s NCAA coverage attracts a 20 million person season-long audience. IPSOS studies revealed about half of the tuning comes from over-the-air radio, and the other half comes from the combination of streaming and SiriusXM.

The trio of Kevin Kugler, Jim Jackson, and Clark Kellogg will announce all the action for the Final Four and the National Championship in English.

PJ Carlesimo and Doug Gottlieb will provide pregame, halftime, and postgame analysis from the Final Four and National Championship in Glendale, Arizona. Jason Horowitz will also host the pregame, halftime, and postgame shows.

Westwood One's coverage of NCAA March Madness will also feature commentators and analysts including former coaches Tom Crean and Hall of Famer Jim Boeheim, All-Americans Robbie Hummel, Casey Jacobsen, and Dan Dickau as well as former college stars Stephen Bardo, Austin Croshere, Jordan Cornette, and Jon Crispin. The roster of tournament play-by-play announcers will include Kugler, Ryan Radtke, Scott Graham, John Sadak, Jason Benetti, Dave Pasch, Chris Carrino, Ted Emrich, Spero Dedes, and Nate Gatter.

Horowitz and Gottlieb will host the network coverage from Westwood One's Los Angeles studios. Brad Heller will anchor Westwood One’s coverage on the satellite, online, and mobile platforms.

Spanish language broadcasts will be called by Rafael Hernandez Brito; former All-American Greivis Vásquez will return as analyst, and former Puerto Rican National Basketball Team coach Carlos Morales will host the broadcasts.
