Trump PAC Turns To Radio With Ads Targeting Black Voters.

Former President Donald Trump's re-election campaign may be seeing a potential path to victory through radio.

A 60-second radio ad airing Mar. 4-31 in Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Michigan – states that President Joe Biden won in 2020 – aims at Black voters, who the Trump campaign sees as open to flipping from Biden to Trump, to help turn each of those states from blue to red in 2024.

The spot, purchased by Make America Great Again Inc., the main super PAC supporting Trump, focuses on issues of importance to Black voters. "Trump will declare war on the cartels and stop the flood of drugs and crime into our communities,” an African American narrator says in the ad. “President Trump delivered for us before, and he'll do it again."

MAGA Inc. CEO Taylor Budowich tells Axios, "This is a first step in a sustained effort to reach every voter, in every corner in America. Voters who traditionally vote Democrat are switching their support to Trump because they want a secure border, growing economy, and safe communities."

The Biden-Harris 2024 campaign's Communications Director Michael Tyler says about the radio ad, “There's a reason they waited until Black History Month was over to run this. The only thing Donald Trump did for Black people was lose to Joe Biden in 2020. But it's kind of them to double down on his losing record by running ads that insult both our intelligence and our sense of decency."

The $380,000 spent by the PAC on the ad breaks down to $179,000 for Georgia, $116,000 for Pennsylvania, and $85,000 for Michigan.
