Audacy sports “The Fan” WFAN-AM/FM New York (660/101.9) will kick off the new year with a refreshed weekday lineup built around the return of one of its most recognizable voices. Beginning Jan. 5, 2026, Craig Carton is back at the station for a third time to headline “The Carton Show” alongside current overnight host Chris McMonigle in afternoon drive.
The shakeup extends across the schedule. WFAN is introducing a new midday block, “Evan & Tiki,” moving current afternoon hosts Evan Roberts and Tiki Barber with Shaun Morash to 10am-2pm. Longtime “Evan & Tiki” EP Tommy Lugauer will take over nights with a new evening program, “After Hours” (7pm-12am).
“Craig Carton’s return reaffirms WFAN’s position as New York’s premier sports destination for big personalities, compelling conversation, and highly engaging content,” said Chris Oliviero, Audacy’s Chief Business Officer and New York Market President. “Our 2026 lineup has familiar marquee voices all day and all night, guaranteeing that whenever you tune into The Fan, you will be smack-dab in the middle of the New York sports culture.”
For Carton, who previously anchored “Boomer & Carton” for a decade and later co-led “Carton & Roberts,” the comeback is personal. “WFAN has always been home to me,” he said. “Having the opportunity to return and rejoin the best sports talk station in the world is an opportunity I am eagerly looking forward to and beyond excited for.”
WFAN’s 2026 weekday lineup:
“The Warm-Up Show with Al Dukes & Jerry Recco” (5–6am)
“Boomer & Gio” (6–10am)
“Evan & Tiki” with Shaun Morash (10am–2pm)
“The Carton Show” with Craig Carton & Chris McMonigle (2–7pm)
“After Hours” with Tommy Lugauer (7pm–12am)
Speculation about Carton returning to radio began in July after Fox Sports 1 cancelled “Breakfast Ball,” the show he hosted with Danny Parkins. Carton had vacated his afternoon drive hosting gig on WFAN in 2023 for a seven-figure deal with FS1 to focus on “The Carton Show” — later rebranded as “Breakfast Ball” — which he began hosting in mornings for Fox in 2022, after juggling both that and the WFAN afternoon show, co-hosted by Evan Roberts, for nearly a year.
He also hosts the “Craig Carton Show” podcast through Fox/Red Seat Ventures. Carton’s career has included stops in Buffalo, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Denver, and New Jersey, along with his long-standing role as host of WFAN’s responsible gambling program “Hello, My Name Is Craig.” He serves as a responsible gaming ambassador for FanDuel and was inducted into the New York State Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2024.
Out in the lineup shuffle are current midday hosts Brandon Tierney and Sal Licata.
