The Weekly Download: What’s New In Podcasts This Week.

This week’s new shows include a deep dive into the legal case against Sean “Diddy” Combs as well as how a murdered woman’s group of friends and family ignited an international manhunt to help catch a killer. Also this week, professional wrestling superstar Saraya launches her own podcast. So does the International Space Station. Here’s some of what’s new this week in podcasting—


My Friend Daisy is a new true crime podcast from Paris Hilton’s London Audio and iHeartPodcasts. The delves deep into the 2021 murder of De La O outside her Compton, CA apartment. When authorities had yet to make an arrest, Daisy’s friends and family took matters into their own hands, turning to social media to raise awareness. Their efforts ultimately ignited an international manhunt, rallying amateur detectives to do something radical: help catch a killer. My Friend Daisy dives into the investigation and its fallout, exposing what went wrong, how it went viral and why communities are increasingly turning to social media to find justice. The limited-series is executive produced by Hilton, and written and hosted by journalist Jenn Swann. New episodes will be released weekly on Wednesdays. 


Big Time is a new Apple Original Podcast from Apple TV+. Hosted by legendary actor and filmmaker Steve Buscemi (“Boardwalk Empire,” “Miracle Workers”), the 14-episode series explores audacious crimes—fake kidnappings, elaborate robberies, even stolen sharks—with Buscemi introducing a new true story each week about a larger-than-life scam or scheme that almost worked. Big Time is produced by Lee Eisenberg’s Piece of Work Entertainment and Campside Media, in association with Buscemi and Wren Arthur’s Olive Productions. 


Bad Rap: The Case Against Diddy is a new podcast from ABC Audio. Hosted by ABC News legal contributor and attorney Brian Buckmire, it is the first in the ongoing series of “20/20” podcasts and will trace how whispers of abuse came to light and led to the stunning federal charges and civil lawsuits that Sean “Diddy” Combs now faces. Supported by “20/20” and ABC News’ global newsgathering team, the initial six episodes of Bad Rap will provide reporting on the allegations and his claims of innocence. After this initial run ends, the series will pick up with twice-weekly episodes during the trial of Combs with real-time updates. 


Rulebreakers with Saraya is a new podcast from Audacy in partnership with Denim Pictures. The series is hosed by professional wrestling superstar Saraya – formerly WWE’s Paige and one of the biggest names in AEW. On the podcast Saraya-Jade Bevis will sit down with fellow notable “rule breakers” for lively and provocative conversations about their lives and the unexpected twists and turns on their paths to success. Rulebreakers will go beyond the world of wrestling and feature Saraya and guests – including Teen Mom’s Kail Lowry, AEW wrestler Harley Cameron, musician Hayes Warner, and comedians Joe Stapleton and Brad Williams – participating in pranks and on-set mischief while exploring the good, the bad, and the ugly of their lives. Saraya will also release solo episodes monthly on which she’ll explore her singular life and road to stardom and personal topics like what it's like to be a woman in wrestling, her journey to veganism, loving someone in prison, and more. New episodes will be released weekly on Thursdays in both audio and video. 


Casual Chaos with Gia Giudice is a new series from iHeartPodcasts. Gia Giudice grew up in the public eye, making regular appearances on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” since its debut. Beyond reality TV, she has built a name for herself, gaining a significant fan following by sharing her insights and experiences in life, fashion, and family. Giudice’s new podcast will offer fans an unfiltered, unedited, and unapologetic look at her life. The podcast takes listeners behind the scenes of her life, revealing moments that weren’t captured on camera and secrets never shared before. Giudice plans to cover topics such as love, wellness, and the truth behind the headlines, and she’s coming in complete with receipts. Gia promises candid conversations with some of the biggest names in pop culture for casually chaotic discussions fans won’t find anywhere else. 


Between a Rocket and a Hard Space is a new podcast from the International Space Station (ISS) National Laboratory. As the official ISS National Lab podcast, the series dives deep into the discoveries, innovations, and people shaping the future of space. Going beyond the launch pad, Between a Rocket and a Hard Space offers exclusive insights from scientists, engineers, and visionaries leveraging the unique environment of low Earth orbit to push the boundaries of research and technology development. Listeners will also hear from policymakers driving the industry forward, financial experts fueling the space economy, and communicators working to inspire the next generation of explorers. House of Maher is a new sports podcast from Wave Sports & Entertainment. Hosted by Olympic medalist, internet personality and women empowerment advocate, Ilona Maher alongside her sisters, Olivia and Adrianna, who will share unique and humorous insights into their lives, with a focus on Ilona’s life as a growing celebrity, globe-trotting rugby player, and as the middle sibling just trying to make her family proud. The Inside Track is a new podcast from BBC Studios Productions. The podcast tells the story of the 2025 Formula 1 season with exclusive access to Oracle Red Bull Racing. NEW SEASONS


Long Time No See is releasing a second season of the comedy series produced in partnership with the Consequence Podcast Network and Gold-Diggers. Created by LTNS co-founders Wes Brumbaugh and Jack Fink, the Long Time No See podcast’s unique format drops your favorite comics into a situation with no sight, no scripts, just unfiltered, hilarious, and surprisingly insightful conversations. The guests could be old friends, complete strangers, or just someone they’ve seen around the circuit. White Hot Hate is releasing its second season. FBI undercover agent Scott Payne’s job was to infiltrate the most dangerous gangs of our times: outlaw bikers, drug cartels and the international neo-Nazi networks hellbent on inciting a race war. In the second season of White Hot Hate, host Michelle Shephard gives listeners an unvarnished view of a life undercover. Because after a 25-year-long career pretending to be somebody else, Agent Payne is ready to tell his side of the story. This CBC series was produced alongside a book co-written by Scott Payne and Michelle Shephard titled “Code Name: Pale Horse: How I Went Undercover to Expose America's Nazis,” by Simon & Schuster. 


First Opinion is releasing a new season of the health podcast from STAT. "On the First Opinion podcast, the people who shape medicine in ways big and small share what they really think with an audience ranging from biotech executives to health care providers to patients and caretakers," says STAT editor Torie Bosch. "I get to serve as the listener's voice, asking the questions to try to get to the nuances of ideas that are often flattened into a simple pro or con, left or right, good or bad. In a moment of polarization, I think conversation is one of the best tools we have." The new season features interviews with renowned contributors and newsmakers, including politicians, researchers, and health care providers.
