Subscriber Analysis Shows Candace Owens’ Podcast Leads Conservative Growth In Q4.

“Candace,” the daily podcast hosted by far-right commentator Candace Owens, posted the fastest year-over-year subscriber growth among conservative podcasts in the fourth quarter, according to a new analysis from TheRighting.

The show’s Castbox subscriber base more than doubled year over year, jumping 101% to 70,708 subscribers by Dec. 31, 2025, up from 33,657 a year earlier. That gain of 37,051 subscribers made “Candace” the ninth-most subscribed right-leaning podcast on the platform, even as it outpaced all peers on percentage growth.

Howard Polskin, President of TheRighting, said the surge underscores how quickly Owens’ audience has expanded relative to long-established conservative voices. He contrasted the rapid rise of “Candace” with what he described as slowing growth among right-wing stalwarts such as Glenn Beck, Michael Savage and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), whose podcasts posted more modest increases over the same period among Castbox users.

“The remarkable growth of her podcast in the past year shows that there’s a large, receptive audience for her ugly conspiracy theories and outrageous rhetoric,” said Polskin, who pointed to Owens’ claim that France’s First Lady is really a man, and that Israel, France and Egypt could have been responsible for the murder of Charlie Kirk.

While “Candace” led on growth rate, subscriber scale remained dominated by “The Ben Shapiro Show,” which ended 2025 with 863,938 Castbox subscribers — nearly double its closest competitor. Shapiro’s podcast also added the most new subscribers in absolute terms during Q4, gaining 166,932 on a year-over-year basis. “The Megyn Kelly Show” added 92,668 and “The Tucker Carlson Show” picked up 53,185 subscribers.

Five other conservative podcasts also recorded double-digit year-over-year percentage growth in the quarter, including “The Megyn Kelly Show” (+88%), “The Charlie Kirk Show” (+65%), “The Tucker Carlson Show” (+47%), “The Ben Shapiro Show” (+24%) and “The Matt Walsh Show” (+19%). The broader chart shows that many legacy conservative programs posted only low single-digit gains, suggesting audience momentum is increasingly concentrated among a smaller group of breakout titles.

TheRighting’s report is based on data that is updated daily from the podcast app Castbox, which according to the podcast-hosting platform Buzzsprout represents roughly 2.5% of all podcasts that Buzzsprout serves. While it only offers a small slice of the podcast market overall, TheRighting says it provides a snapshot of the market for conservative podcast voices. It also points out that no other leading podcast app besides Castbox makes its data publicly available.
