Pfizer’s surging spot count continued during the week of Sept. 2-8 and propelled the pharmaceutical giant into the No. 1 spot on the weekly Media Monitors list of top radio advertisers.
Pfizer, with a whopping 68,808 spots in the latest week, rose from No. 2 the week prior, when it aired 51,016. It traded places with Progressive, which aired 62,842, up from 58,256 in the previous week when it sat at No. 1.
Pfizer recently launched a direct-to-consumer telehealth platform called PfizerForAll, which lets users to do things like refill prescriptions and schedule vaccination appointments.
The Home Depot was No. 3 overall, up one position from the week before, with 39,321. The home-improvement retailer was followed by Procter & Gamble’s Vicks (34,594), which rose to No. 4 from No. 9.
Employment services website Indeed was the week’s biggest gainer, jumping all the way to No. 9 from No. 28, with 29,913 spots.
For the week of Sept. 2-8, the top 10 radio advertisers on Media Monitors’ list are as follows: Pfizer, Progressive, The Home Depot, Vicks, Stuff Media’s “Stuff You Should Know” podcast, Babbel, T-Mobile, Lowe’s, Indeed and Discover.
