Skyview Networks Transitions Ownership To CEO Steve Jones.

Skyview Networks has completed a significant ownership transition, with President, CEO and Chairman Steve Jones assuming full ownership of the company, effective immediately.

In a memo to staff, Jones framed the move as a continuation of the company’s long-term strategy rather than a departure from it. “This transition further strengthens long-term direction and focus that ensures continuity,” he said, adding that Skyview’s leadership team and day-to-day priorities will remain centered on “client outcomes, operational excellence and teamwork.”

The transition marks the next chapter for a company founded in 1996 by Ken Thiele, who built Skyview into a major player in audio distribution, syndication, and network sales. Originally focused on providing broadcast solutions for professional sports teams, the company has since evolved into a full-service audio technology and monetization platform.

Thiele, who has led the company for three decades, endorsed the leadership change, pointing to Jones’ track record since joining Skyview. “Since joining Skyview Networks, Steve has expanded our business portfolio and led with a steady focus on growth and stability,” Thiele said in a statement shared with employees. “It is with this confidence in leadership that Skyview’s trajectory and momentum continues.”

Jones also acknowledged the contributions of fellow shareholders Diana Chamberlain and Dave Dickson, who will remain involved with the company in advisory roles.

Before joining Skyview, Jones spent decades at The Walt Disney Company, including serving as Vice President and General Manager of ABC Radio. In that role, he oversaw strategic planning, programming, and operations for ABC’s audio portfolio, spanning news, entertainment, and sports.

He also played a key role in the early digital expansion of ABC News, helping launch one of the first network webcasts and leading ABCNEWS.com’s content and production efforts. His work earned industry recognition including a Peabody Awards honor and multiple Edward R. Murrow Awards.

Since joining Skyview, Jones has overseen a period of expansion that deepened partnerships with major media companies, sports organizations, and national advertisers, while reinforcing the company’s reputation for transparency and performance.

Jones emphasized that the ownership transition is as much about the future as it is about continuity.

“Serving as the leader of Skyview Networks is a responsibility I take seriously,” he said. “I am committed to continue leading with transparency, respect and a long-term focus on our people and business.”

As audio consumption continues to fragment across broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms, Skyview’s integrated model—spanning content, technology, and ad sales—positions it to remain a key player in helping partners navigate and monetize that complexity.
