Sigma Audio Networks has signed a representation and syndication agreement with Hector “El Nene” Arroyo-Rivera, adding his weekend program, “Top 20 Countdown Global con Hector El Nene,” to the company’s growing portfolio of multicultural audio properties.
Under the partnership, Sigma Audio Networks, which was launched in January by MediaCo, will oversee network sales, syndication expansion and multiplatform development opportunities for the two-hour countdown show. The program combines Latin, urban and pop music with artist interviews, entertainment news and trending topics, targeting multicultural audiences through a personality-driven format.
Sigma Audio Networks President and CEO Elisa Torres said the show aligns with the company’s strategy of building scalable programming centered on cultural relevance and audience engagement.
“Hector ‘El Nene’ has built a show with real momentum, strong personality, and a format that travels well across markets,” Torres said. “Top 20 Countdown Global is exactly the kind of culturally relevant, scalable programming we want in the Sigma portfolio — a show that brings energy and authentic audience connection, while also creating meaningful opportunities for stations and brand partners.”
Torres said the company plans to work with Arroyo-Rivera to expand the program’s reach and develop new opportunities for affiliates and advertisers.
Arroyo-Rivera, known to listeners as “El Nene,” has built a reputation in Spanish-language radio through a high-energy presentation style and strong connection with Latino audiences. The countdown program has expanded into multiple markets and focuses on chart hits, artist buzz and cultural trends driving listener conversations each week.
“I’m incredibly excited to partner with Sigma Audio Networks at this stage of Top 20 Countdown Global’s growth,” Arroyo-Rivera said. “Sigma understands how to scale content in a way that keeps the connection with multicultural audiences authentic. I’m looking forward to growing the brand, reaching more stations, and creating new opportunities for listeners, affiliates, and advertisers alike.”
Sigma said the show will be positioned as both a programming franchise and an advertising platform. Opportunities will include network advertising, sponsorships, branded content, segment integrations, digital audio initiatives, podcast extensions and promotional partnerships.
The addition of “Top 20 Countdown Global” continues Sigma Audio Networks’ effort to build a multicultural audio network that combines nationally recognized personalities with content distributed across broadcast radio, streaming platforms and other audio channels.
