Rich Eisen, a host on ESPN and ESPN Radio from 1996 to 2003, will bring his full podcast lineup from The Rich Eisen Podcast Network to ESPN platforms as part of a new deal with the sports network. It includes The Rich Eisen Showpodcast, as well as all future projects from Eisen’s podcast network including an untitled “SportsCenter” legacy podcast where Eisen will be interviewing colleagues from his seven years at ESPN from 1996-2003, as well as other select ESPN on-air folks from past and present.

Eisen launched his podcast network in September 2023 in an expansion of a three-year old relationship with Cumulus Media. Eisen’s podcast network is currently distributed by the Cumulus Podcast Network. Eisen’s podcast network is currently distributed by the Cumulus Podcast Network.

Eisen will also be the new centerpiece of ESPN Radio starting Sept. 2. “The Rich Eisen Show” will air in its traditional noon-3pm ET radio timeslot, displacing “Joe and Q,” featuring Joe Fortenbaugh and Qiant “Q” Myers. Remaining based in Los Angeles, the veteran sports broadcaster will also air on ESPN+ and Disney+, along with ESPN’s direct-to-consumer app that is set to launch in the fall.

Craig Karmazin’s Good Karma Brands, ESPN’s partner across digital video, audio, and podcasts, will also be involved in the sales component of “The Rich Eisen Show” on all platforms.

The three-time Emmy-nominated “Rich Eisen Show” currently streams free on The Roku Channel. It earlier ran on NBC Sports Network and Peacock. The radio counterpart of Eisen’s show aired nationally on Fox Sports Radio before moving to Westwood One’s sports network. In January, the show joined the Infinity Sports Network lineup, replacing Jim Rome, who moved to afternoons on Westwood One. Eisen’s radio show also airs on SiriusXM.

The new Eisen-ESPN relationship sets up a powerhouse competition as Eisen’s radio show will compete with Stephen A. Smith, who is starting a new SiriusXM program. And “The Rich Eisen Show” will also air at the same time as “The Pat McAfee Show” on ESPN+. The NFL punter turned sports radio host’s show also streams on YouTube and Disney+ and a two-hour version runs from noon-2pm ET on ESPN, along with the forthcoming ESPN DTC app.

ESPN says “The Rich Eisen Show” will also continue to hit the road for marquee events, broadcasting live from the Super Bowl, NFL Draft and NFL Combine.

“Rich Eisen is one of the most respected and recognizable voices in sports media. His ability to seamlessly blend insight, humor, and star power has built a loyal following across platforms,” said David Roberts, ESPN Executive VP, Executive Editor, Sports News and Entertainment. “We’re thrilled to welcome Rich back to ESPN Radio and to expand his show’s reach across our audio lineup and streaming services, including Disney+.”
