Red Seat Ventures Expands Into Live Comedy With ‘Kill Tony’ Deal.

Fox’s Red Seat Ventures has signed a multiyear partnership with “Kill Tony,” the live comedy podcast created by Tony Hinchcliffe. It marks the company’s first major move into live entertainment and comedy.

Under the agreement, Red Seat Ventures will serve as the exclusive audio and video ad sales partner for “Kill Tony” and distribute the show across Fox’s streaming platforms, including Tubi and Fox One, as well as YouTube and other third-party platforms. The partnership will also bring ad-free episodes of “Kill Tony” to fans through a monthly subscription on Supercast, Red Seat Ventures’ premium podcast subscription platform.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Tony and the ‘Kill Tony’ entourage in bringing their wildly funny and captivating live comedy podcast to our growing portfolio of genre-defining creator content,” Red Seat CEO Chris Balfe says in the announcement. “We look forward to expanding their audience across Fox’s streaming services and empowering them to scale and monetize their business in new ways.”

Launched in 2013, “Kill Tony” blends stand-up, improv and comedy talent discovery. The show has more than 3 million downloads per episode and the series also has 2.6 million subscribers on YouTube. Red Seat says that makes it the No. 1 podcast in the world.

“Red Seat Ventures is the perfect partner for our podcast — they understand our brand, our vision and the importance of capturing and delivering live content to audiences,” Hinchcliffe says in a statement. “Chris and his team have the right tools and resources for us to maximize and elevate our podcasting footprint, and we’re excited to kick off the partnership with even more great comedic content for our audiences.”

Hinchcliffe has toured globally for nearly two decades and is known for his razor-sharp comedy and his preeminent role in roast battles. In 2024, Hinchcliffe took “Kill Tony” on a live tour, which Red Seat says underscored the podcast’s influence in the stand-up comedy world.

The addition of “Kill Tony” is positioned by Red Seat as part of the company’s continued evolution from a podcast network into a full-scale creator-led media company. Fox made its move into podcasting in February 2025 when it acquired Red Seat Ventures. Red Seat now operates as a standalone entity within its digital and streaming-focused Tubi Media Group. It then acquired technology developed by the podcast analytics and advertising company Backtracks. In February, it acquired the subscription platform Supercast. And earlier this month, Red Seat moved further beyond content creation to launch the Speakeasy hosting and ad-tech platform.

“Kill Tony” is represented by UTA and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
