Bank of America aired 29,279 spots during the week of May 6-12, jumping all the way from No. 75 to No. 9 and making it the biggest gainer in the latest list of top radio advertisers from Media Monitors.
That put Bank of America right behind another player in the Banks/Credit Unions/Mortgage and Financial Services space, Discover, which accounted for 29,906 spots, good for No. 8 on the weekly list. Capital One (14,785) and Chase (11,225) also contributed to the category’s total spot count.
Other gainers for the week include The Home Depot (47,898), up from No. 9 to No. 2; Babbel (38,038), up from No. 5 to No. 4; Mattress Firm (30,577), up from No. 17 to No. 6; Febreze (29,924), up from No. 10 to No. 7; and Macy’s (29,255), up from No. 13 to No. 10.
Progressive, with 61,451 spots, dominated the week’s list, tallying 13,553 spots more than The Home Depot.
Wendy’s, which ranked fourth during the week of April 29 to May 5, dramatically reduced its spot count, going from 39,733 to 20,187 and falling to No. 23 overall in the latest week. It still led the Fast Casual / Quick Service Restaurant space, followed by No. 31 McDonald’s (17,487), No. 39 Taco Bell (14,940), No. 44 Dairy Queen (14,319) and No. 55 Chick-fil-A (11,990).
For the week of May 6-12, 2024, the top ten on the Media Monitors radio advertiser list includes Progressive, The Home Depot, Upside, Babbel, ZipRecruiter, Mattress Firm, Febreze, Discover, Bank of America and Macy’s.
