Power Of Urban Radio Forum Marks 25 Years In DC.

The 25th Annual Power of Urban Radio Forum will take place Oct. 16 at the U.S. Black Chamber of Commerce headquarters in Washington, DC, the former BET campus. Hosted by Kizart Media Partners, the event brings together CEOs, CMOs, and senior agency leaders to focus on reaching the $1.5 trillion Black consumer market.


Carol H. Williams, Chairwoman and Chief Creative Officer of Carol H. Williams Advertising, will deliver the keynote. Other highlights include a National Marketers Workshop led by P&G’s Lela Coffey with executives from General Motors, AARP, and Toyota, as well as a Global Media Agency CIO Panel representing Publicis Media, Horizon Media, and IPG.


“This year marks a significant milestone for the Power of Urban Radio Forum as it is our silver anniversary, our 25th year of setting an even higher standard of bringing together the country's leading Advertising, Marketing, Media, and Broadcast leaders,” Sherman Kizart, Managing Partner of Kizart Media Partners, said in a release. “We remain true to our mission of driving more investment in diverse-owned and targeted media.”


Additional sessions will feature African American agency CEOs, a digital and social media presentation led by KMP’s Cheyenne Bridgewater-Kizart, and participation from top national marketers. Kevin Jenkins, EVP of Sales for Service Broadcasting, will serve as emcee, with Sean Plater (WHUR/WHUT), Ivy Savoy-Smith (Audacy Washington), and Eddie Harrell (Urban One) as co-chairs.
