Flush with new funding, the artificial intelligence-powered podcast directory Podchaser has struck a deal to acquire Podcharts and Podrover from creator Cesare Rocchi who has self-funded the two ventures. Terms of the deal were not released. “It’s our mission to power podcast discovery and empower podcast creators with the tools they need to succeed, all in one place,” the company said in the announcement.

Podcharts is a free service that allows you to track podcast charts and rankings across popular apps like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Stitcher. Charts are broken down across categories, location, and platform with historical data available to view trends across time. Users can track specific podcasts and receive updates on their movements in each chart.

Podrover is the app and service that helps podcasters track, organize, and share their podcast reviews across multiple platforms including Podchaser. Podrover automatically brings in reviews and sends notifications when a show gets a new review. Via Podrover’s app and website, podcasters can easily organize and view all their reviews in one spot.

The acquisition comes less than two months after Podchaser announced it had secured $4 million in new funding. The investment was more than twice the $1.65 million in seed funding that Podchaser secured last January.

CEO Bradley Davis said in January that the new funding would help the company expand its “IMDb for podcasts” and build tools for podcasters, ad agencies and brands. “Our goal is to convert the firehose of podcast data into a drinking fountain of insights that power discovery and decision-making throughout the industry," he said.
