Pfizer, no stranger to enhancing a campaign’s reach with AM/FM radio advertisements, made a big jump in the latest Media Monitors list of top radio advertisers based on spot count.
The pharmaceutical company aired 51,016 spots during the week of Aug. 26-Sept. 1, rising to No. 2 from No. 18 a week earlier. Only Progressive, routinely at or near the top of the list, aired more spots (58,256).
Pfizer, like some other players in the pharmaceutical industry, recently launched a direct-to-consumer telehealth platform called PfizerForAll, which lets users to do things like refill prescriptions and schedule vaccination appointments.
Lowe’s (47,167) and The Home Depot (46,840) — home-improvement titans that are heavy radio advertisers — came in third and fourth, respectively.
Another big gainer in the latest week was the Law & Order: Criminal Justice System Podcast, which rose to No. 6 with 32,863 spots. It was at No. 31 a week earlier.
For the week of Aug. 26-Sept. 1, the top 10 advertisers on Media Monitors’ list are as follows: Progressive, Pfizer, Lowe’s, The Home Depot, Mattress Firm, Law & Order Criminal Justice System Podcast, T-Mobile, National Traffic Highway Safety Administration, Vicks and Babbel.
