The Parapod Podcast Awards is now accepting nominees for its 2026 awards. They celebrate the voices, stories, and creators shaping the paranormal, supernatural, UFO, and true crime podcasting world. Organizers say since the nomination window opened Friday, they’ve surpassed all expectations for opening weekend and expect the four-year-old Parapod Podcast Awards to have its biggest year yet.
Organizers have also announced the recipients of four of its awards. The Living Legend Award will go to syndicated overnight “Coast to Coast AM” radio host George Noory.
Noory is best known as the longtime host of “Coast to Coast AM,” one of the most widely syndicated overnight talk shows in the U.S. Premiere Network says the show airs on about 620 stations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Guam. During the past two decades he has built a loyal audience around paranormal, supernatural, and conspiracy-focused discussions.
Since taking over the program in 2003 from the legendary Art Bell, Noory has become a defining voice in late-night radio, blending interviews with authors, researchers, and callers while helping sustain the genre’s presence on radio. His reach extends across hundreds of affiliates, and his influence has carried into podcasting and digital platforms, where interest in fringe and unexplained topics continues to thrive.
The other winners announced have most commonly appeared as guests on podcasts. The Cosmic Legacy Award will be posthumously presented to Erich von Däniken, the Swiss author and frequent podcast guest. The Disclosure Leadership Award will be posthumously presented to Nick Pope, a British ufologist. And the Cosmic Visionary Award will be presented posthumously to David Wilcox, the paranormal writer who believed himself to be in telepathic contact with extraterrestrial beings.
Several new categories have been added this year, with awards spanning categories that include Paranormal Core, True Crime, Conspiracy, and Performance & Production. Winners will be announced in October. Find entry details HERE.
