Procter & Gamble partners with iHeartMedia for the return of “Can’t Cancel Pride,” a virtual relief benefit for the LGBTQ+ community featuring performances and appearances from influential voices in the community and big names in culture and entertainment.
The second annual event will celebrate Pride Month and will focus on intersectionality, or the overlap of identities, social positions, and social policies, along with the issues that continue to impact the LGBTQ+ community in 2021, including the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“Can’t Cancel Pride” will be held June 4 at 9pm, with the concert available on-demand through June 30. Full details and the performance line-up will be announced at a later date.
Once again “Can’t Cancel Pride” will partner with The Greater Cincinnati Foundation to administer and distribute financial support raised by the event to LGBTQ+ organizations, including GLAAD, SAGE, The Trevor Project, the National Black Justice Coalition, CenterLink and OutRight Action International.
The event will stream on iHeartRadio’s YouTube, Facebook and Instagram TV pages, on iHeartRadio’s PrideRadio.com and will be broadcast on iHeart radio stations nationwide and on the iHeartRadio app on June 4 at 9pm local time.
Last year’s event raised more than $4 million and was hosted by iHeartRadio syndicated morning man Elvis Duran and actress and LGBTQ+ advocate Laverne Cox and featured performances by Adam Lambert, Katy Perry, Sia, Big Freedia, Billy Porter, Kim Petras, Melissa Etheridge and Ricky Martin.
